The whole lilac saga is quite real and dear. I’m glad it’s still growing, even after understandable neglect. ( We have such plantings in lack-of-progress, too.)
And I so enjoy how you tuck in bits about you, like:
“But, let’s just say my talents lie in other areas.” with such quiet honesty.
These are a blooming on their own…Full and bobbing in the sunlight.
PS. I’m sending this onto our Joe, who this week left his “secure” job to begin work in a new direction… on the ocean. His transplanting seems to have so many connections with your Most Important Thing. 🌝
Bravo to Joe, too! Not sure "setting down roots" or even "blooming" is the right metaphor for a ocean work, so here's my wish: May he ride the waves, safe and secure, while finding new adventure and fulfillment! May he have beautiful hair, beautiful horses, just the right amount of rain, and no emergencies all the days of the week. Let's go!
