Love this, Sylvia. I think you would like a friend of mine's blog, The Observant Gardener. Will send you the link. And will hope to stop by and see you when I am spending a few days in Maine later this month.
Wayne stopped by yesterday. I had a million things to do, so I saw him only briefly. But he and Steve went out to get fried clams for lunch. They had a good time, by all reports!
When the deer are in my yard I go out and talk to them. I tell them to stay out of my garden. They just stand there looking at me. No fear. In one way, that's sweet. In another way, not so much!
I enjoyed reading this so much that Diane came in and said, “What are you smiling about?” In addition to your good humor and great writing, I appreciate your tenacity.

Thanks, Maddie! Hope I get to see you!
Have sent you an email :)
..well said Sylvia- I wonder if metaphorically we already do have everything we just don't realize it
What an interesting idea. Maybe so!
And your internal story noticing a deer at a neighborhood yard sale was delightful, too.
Thanks, Sylvie.

My hydrangeas have also been so lushly full of blossoms this summer! As always, I love your writing and storytelling. Keep ‘em coming, and thank you!
Thank you, Irene! We were at a garden party this afternoon and the hosts had some amazing hydrangea cultivars. Beautiful!
